Situated in its own grounds with a sunny south facing aspect, Furzeleigh Mill, formerly a corn mill built in the 16th Century, has been carefully converted to a comfortable country hotel, privately owned and personally run, where you are always assured of a very warm welcome. The hotel is now a listed building of historical interest.

Furzeleigh Mill is situated halfway between Exeter & Plymouth with Torbay 12 miles to the east, we are on the border of Teignbridge and South Hams. We have a range of attractions such as Butterflies, Otters, River Dart, Dartmoor, Steam Trains, Buckfast Abbey and Good Food. We also have the bones in our Holy Trinity Churchyard of the Cabell family reputed to be from Arthur Conan Doyle's "Hound of the Baskervilles" one of the stories of Sherlock Holmes. South Dartmoor is full of mystery and suspicion.

How To Find Us
From Exeter:- Turn off the A38 at Dartbridge Junction, signposted Buckfastleigh/Totnes. Turn right at the end of the slip road to Buckfastleigh. Turn right opposite The Little Chef (Do not cross River Dart Bridge) signposted Ashburton and Princetown. You will find Furzeleigh Mill along this road on the right hand side.
From Plymouth:- Turn off at Dartbridge Junction signposted Buckfastleigh /Totnes A384. Turn left at the end of the slip road, them first right opposite The Little Chef signposted Ashburton and Princetown. You will find Furzeleigh Mill along this road on the right hand side.

Short Walks

Once you have settled in you may wish to take a short walk to the steam railway, Butterfly farm or the famous Buckfast Abbey, these attractions are all within 800 metres of the hotel.

Walks into Buckfastleigh to visit the Valliant Soldier, shops and pubs are all within 1000 metres, also the carpark at Woodholne is always available for a very reasonable fee.
